Decatur ~ Melissa Sue Pruett, 55, a price coordinator, went to be with our Lord Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Decatur.

Memorial service is 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Slidell.

Rev. Bobby Cates will officiate.

Melissa was born on December 20, 1960 to David and Juanell (Cagle) Patton in Denton, Texas. She was united in marriage to Rene Samuel Pruett on May 7, 2011 in Slidell. Melissa was a price coordinator at Lowes Home Improvement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Slidell.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Rene Pruett of Decatur; her sons, Michael Oliver of Soldotna, Alaska, Jacob Oliver of Tucson, Arizona, and Lensie Pruett of Slidell; her daughters, Julia Johnson of Soldotna, Alaska and Jackie Hammond of Slidell; 9 grandchildren; her sister, Tina Salazar of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; her brothers, Clifford Patton of Hawaii and Tom Patton of Homer, Alaska; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
