I am the former pastor of First Baptist Church in Chico, Texas. Joe came to saving faith during my ministry there. I had the opportunity to visit with him numerous times at his home to share the gospel with him. Finally, the Lord opened Joe's heart to receive the gospel and Joe became a Christian. My condolences to Mrs. Sue and the entire Haworth family. Mr. Haworth was a special man.

I pray that the Lord Jesus provides the entire Haworth family with comfort, peace, and understanding through the power of the Holy Spirit, who is our advocate and our helper. I am glad that I got to briefly know Joe before we went to be with the Lord, but saddened that I did not get to know him better. I will always remember how his eyes lit up after I prayed for him the first time that I met him. I could tell instantly that he was a man who deeply loved and respected our Lord Jesus Christ. Joe will be missed.
