Karen, it has been so long since I've seen the family. I am deeply sorry for the loss of Joe and for having lost touch with all. I know this late coming I just came across this on the internet. God bless you all.

Joe was a couple of years younger, but I knew him as a good guy and dedicated athlete in Hillsboro High. May the Lord continue to comfort his family.

Joe was a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of having him in my section at FEMA. He was a warm and caring man. I admired his spirit and honesty. When I retired Joe and his wife gave me a wonderful book and when he handed it to me just just smiled that Joe Curry smile. When he arrived at FEMA I knew he was special. His presence was known all over facility. I am sure you and the Lord are talking to each other now. God bless your family and I will keep them in my prayers. You will be missed. Celebrate! It was my honor to work with Joe at different times throughout the past several years. I found him to always have a "positive can do" attitude. The world has lost a "really good guy". My sympathy to his family and friends.

Joe will be missed by his FEMA family. He has helped thousands of disaster survivors over the 18 years he has worked for FEMA. It is a hard job but one of compassion and that was what Joe offered those in the most need. May you find comfort now with the fond memories you and your family shared and during those milestones of life. May God shelter you and yours with his loving embrace.
