Opal (Hinds) Keenan

Decatur ~ Opal Keenan, 88, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Opal was born January 28, 1932 to Leslie C. and Dava (Seale) Hinds in Medina, Texas. She was united in marriage October 4, 1952 to Richard D. Keenan in San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Richard D. Keenan; 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Leslie Keenan and wife Victoria of Hico, and James W. Keenan and wife Monika of Denton; her daughter, Kathryn Millett and husband Don of Decatur; 10 grandchildren, Gracie, John, Chelsea, Lindsay, Mallory, Shannon, Shelby, Lorelei, Logan, and Lane; 12 great-grandchildren, Austin, Victoria, Judson, Jaclyn, Adriana, Juliana, Trevin, Aiden, Liam, Jayde, Nathan, and Dean; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
