Kodie Outlaw Obituary

Kodie Lee Outlaw was born on January 2, 2006 in Decatur, Texas to her loving parents Jesse
and Carrie Outlaw. Kodie left this earth on June 4, 2021 at her home in Alvord, Texas.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Alvord High School Gymnasium with burial at Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Alvord.

Charlie French will officiate. Pallbearers include Jay Outlaw, Therion Hoppe, Michael Crafton, James Holder, Dalton Outlaw, Justin Gosnell, Sawyer Alvis, and John Firm. Honorary Pallbearer is Dylan Ashlock.

Kodie was the baby of the family, following her big sister Jesse and big brother Dalton. From
the day she was born Kodie was full of spunk and spirit and she idolized her older siblings.
Although Jesse and Dalton were only a few years older, their parents already had them active in
activities such as sports and beginning to get involved in the world of 4H. By the age of four
Kodie was already in the rabbit barn with her family learning the ways of the Show rabbit world,
her love and passion for all animals was almost instant and unwavering, and the JC3 Show
Team was born.

Over the years, Kodie and her family showed multiple species of livestock
including rabbits, market goats, dairy goats, horses, and cattle. Kodie loved it all, but showing
cattle was where she found her true calling. The cattle ring was always Kodie’s happy place and
there was no place she would rather be than hauling down the road with her family heading to
the next show.
In Kodie’s short fifteen years, she lived life to the fullest and had many accomplishments
including multiple year Alvord 4H Officer, multiple year Alvord FFA Officer, many Major and
National level championships with multiple species of livestock, competed on multiple FFA and
4H competition teams, competed at the state level with the Alvord Archery Club, showed cattle
in every Major Livestock Show in Texas and started her own herd of registered hereford show
cattle. Kodie was a member of the Alvord 4H, Alvord FFA, Texas Junior Hereford Association,
American Hereford Association American Rabbit Breeders Association, National Junior Flemish
Rabbit Breeders Association, Texas rabbit Breeders Association, and the Alvord United
Methodist Church.

Kodie also was a regular volunteer with the Meals on Wheels Organization,
and the Heart of Champions Livestock show.. However, her most exceptional accomplishment is
her work ethic and dedication to her livestock and that she always helped others no matter
where she was or what she was doing and last but not least, she had a very impressive herd of
barn cats that she managed.
Kodie is now in heaven with her family that went there before her including her LuLu, Memaw,
Granny, Grandad, Paw Paw and Uncle Jason who have certainly already hauled her to the
biggest and best cattle show that heaven has to offer.
Kodie leaves behind her family including her parents Jay and Carrie Outlaw, sister Jesse
Outlaw, brother Dalton Outlaw, Uncle Therion and Aunt Cindy and family, Aunt Stuffy and
Sawyer, Nanny Kay Crafton and family, Aunt Courtney and Uncle Dustin and family, Great aunt
Carolyn and family and a magnitude of other family members. As well as her beloved show
family James, Deana, and Madison Holder and Justin Gosnell.

Donations can be made in Kodie's name at Legend Bank.
