Glen Albert Rhine

Decatur ~ Glen Albert Rhine, 84, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2021 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Ron Fox will officiate.

Pallbearers include Cody Christian, Jason Jones, Justin Morris, Justin West, Clayton Sappington, Ryan Elder, Dustin Smalley, and Matt Melton.

Glen was born September 30, 1937 to Gene Albert and Grace Marie (Parrish) Rhine in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage October 20, 1956 to Barbara Ann Green in Gainesville, Texas. Glen was a graduate of Decatur High School and a dairy farmer in agriculture industry for many years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Marie Rhine; brother, T.H. Rhine, and son, Russell Glen Rhine.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Barbara Ann Rhine of Decatur; his daughters, Keitha Morris and husband Tim of Decatur, and Jamye Melton of Decatur; his grandchildren, Cody Christian and wife Julie of Decatur, Carley Jones and husband Jason of Decatur, Justin Morris and wife Katie of Decatur, Kayla West and Husband Justin of Decatur, Ashley Smalley and husband Dustin of Bridgeport, and Matt Melton of Bridgeport; his great-grandchildren, Riley and Reese Christian, Macey and Kenley Jones, Easton and Emmy Morris, Brody and Jadyn Kelley, Layne and Landon West, and Aubrey and Linzi Smalley; his brother, Dan Rhine of Decatur; his sister, Bobbie Owens of Sanger; extended family members, and a host of friends.
