Emma Elizabeth (Lane) Edwards

Decatur ~ Emma Elizabeth Edwards, 90, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in Denton, Texas.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with burial at Vashti Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Elizabeth was born June 25, 1929 to Edward Frank and Anna (Blanche) Lane in Bowie, Texas. She was a  graduate of Bowie High School. Elizabeth was united in marriage September 17, 1949 to John Edwards in Montague, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Edwards; her daughter, Pamela Sue Edwards; and 2 brothers, Dewayne, and Ted Lane.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Dennis F. Edwards and wife Charla of Decatur, and John K. Edwards of Arizona; her granddaughters, Mandi Anderson and husband Kent of Lake Dallas, and Lindsi Haynes and husband Gerrit of Abilene; 4 great-grandchildren, Karley, and Jace Anderson and Evyn, and Eli Haynes; her brother Verlin Lane; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
