Cora Darlene (Inman) Downe

Ponder ~ Cora Darlene Downe, 80, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Denton.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Decatur with burial in Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home.

David Lowrey will officiate. Pallbearers include, Andrew Barrios, Joel Inman, Tommy Inman, Kevin Downe, Brian Downe, and Craig Downe.

Cora was born on June 20, 1940 to William and Cleo (Alexander) Inman in Boyd, Texas. She was united in marriage to Arthur Downe on February 17, 1961 in Fort Worth, Texas. Cora retired from Wells Fargo as a Bank Teller and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Roy and Ralph Inman; her son, Craig Downe; and 2 sisters, Billie Latham and Jack Hudson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Mark Downe and wife Dawn of Decatur, and Sammy Downe of Flower Mound; her daughter, Shellene Solomon and husband, David of Justin; her grandchildren, Staci Barrios and husband Andrew, Alexis Downe, Craig Downe, and Christian Downe; her brother, Robert Inman; her sister, Velta McNutt; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
