Charlie Grill Jr.

Chico ~ Charlie Grill Jr., 71, a retired employee of Devon and ROC, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in Chico.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Charlie was born on October 16, 1946 to Charlie and Helen (Petralis) Grill Sr. in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Linda Sue Bird on June 16, 1966 in Chico, Texas. Charlie proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Devon for 30 years until his retirement and then 5 years for ROC. Charlie was a member of the VFW Commander 10700 for 10 years, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and served on the Chico Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Linda Grill of Chico; his daughter, Jariece Davis of Chico; his grandchildren, Clint Davis and wife Crystal, Taylor Davis and wife Amber, Ashley Davis, Dustin Davis and wife Tessa; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Azia, Eli, Lacy, Hayden, Kaydn, Hunter, Braxton, and Bristol (who is on the way); his great great grandchildren, Fable, Rowan, and Able (who is on the way); his sister, Donna Pope and her husband of Granbury; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends.
