CHICO -- Zelma Shirley, 98, a homemaker passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2007 in Decatur.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at First Baptist Church, Chico with Rev. Adam Hughes officiating. Burial: Montague Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Lynn Mowery, Kenneth Buckner, Eddie Cox, G.A. Buckner, Jesse Wilkins, Todd Buckner.
Mrs. Shirley was born June 16, 1909 in Fanchon, TX to James K. and Rosa Lee Stephens Loring. She married Marlin E. Shirley Oct. 15, 1944 in Dallas. They were united 38 years when he preceded her in death April 16, 1983. Mrs. Shirley was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Chico, WMU, Friendship Club and Chico Quilting Club.
