Winnie (Barnhart) Shepherd

Bridgeport ~ Winnie Mae Louise Barnhart Shepherd, 88, went to be with our Lord Friday, November 28, 2014, in Bridgeport.
A graveside service celebrating the life and resurrection of Winnie is1:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at Willow Point Cemetery.
Rev. Bill Cleveland will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Micky Shepherd, Nick Shepherd, R.D. Barnhart, and Kenny Shepherd.
Winnie was born on May 20, 1926 to Whitt and Sudie (Jobe) Barnhart in Graham, Texas, Young County. She was united in marriage to Billie Joe Shepherd on January 5, 1946 in Graham. They were blessed with a son, Joe (Micky) Michael Shepherd. Winnie Loved the Lord and was saved by His grace. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Winnie had a special place in her heart for her sister Ruby, and her niece Judy. She had a gift for writing poetry and held a love for music in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bobby Jean Barnhart and brother, Harvey Monroe Barnhart.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved son, Joe M. Shepherd and wife Earlene of Bridgeport; her granddaughter, Paula Shepherd of Bridgeport; her grandsons, Micky Shepherd and wife Jennifer of Colleyville, Nick Shepherd and wife Belinda of Abilene; her great grandchildren, Madeline, Lindsey, Mason and Olivia; her sister, Ruby Copeland and husband Leroy of Azle; her brother, R.D. Barnhart and wife Anice of Graham; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
Our gratitude to Senior Care of Bridgeport for taking care of Winnie and loving her until the Lord took her home.
