Decatur: Wilma Stella Huntington, 86, died Tuesday, January 8, 2008, in Decatur.
Mrs. Huntington was born February 5, 1921, in Crafton, Texas, to William Wiley and Dora Lee Higgs. She married Jack Forrest Huntington on August 24, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and she volunteered her time at the Blanton Gardens in Dallas which is a Methodist home for the aging.
Graveside service is 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, Texas. Rev. Johnny Irish will officiate. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Margaretta Deal and husband, Danny, of Waxahachie; granddaughter, Michelle Cantrell of Ridgefield, Washington; grandson, Richard Roberts of McKinney; great grandsons, Jay Bonk of Ridgefield, Washington and Brandon Roberts of McKinney; great, great granddaughter, Jaylee Bonk of Ridgefield, Washington; sister, Geree Kirby of Decatur; sister-in-law, Maxine Higgs of Decatur; nephew Jay Higgs and wife, Amber, of Decatur; niece, Kasi Elder and husband, Jeff, of Decatur; and great nephews, Erik and Bryce Elder and Hunter Higgs.
