Willie Reed, Jr. passed from this earth Saturday, September 5, 2026 in Decatur, Texas.

Graveside Service is 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 21st at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

Willie was born March 2, 1957 to Willie Joe & Virginia Kay (Jonas) Reed, Sr. in Dallas, Texas. He was united in marriage February 2, 1977 to Bridget Cohoon in Joplin, Missouri. Willie was self-employed but for many years worked for the Decatur Independent School District. Willie proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Joe and Virginia Kay Reed, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Bridget Reed; his children, Paul & Kristi Stewart, Michael & Christy Roof, and Toby & Jana Reed; his grandchildren, Daniel & Jamie Rowan, Matthew & Shannon Stokely, Aidan & Audrey Roof-McGreger, Jason Stewart, Emma Gore, Sara Roof, Dominick Reed, Chloe Gore, and Max Reed; his great-grandchildren, Lorelai Stokely, Iris Stokely, Atlas Roof-McGreger, and Opal Stokely; his siblings, Ernest & Debbie Torrez, Melvin & Doris Pope, Kevin & Kay Enos, and Barbara Walters; extended family and a host of friends.
