William "Will" Donald Golaz

Decatur ~ William “Will” Donald Golaz, 41, a heavy equipment operator, went to be with our Lord Thursday, January 17, 2019, in Decatur.

Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at Paradise Cemetery in Paradise.  Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Decatur.

Rev. James Golaz will officiate.  Pallbearers include Derek Dakota Martin, Kevin Allen Velten, Wesley Thomas Brown, William Turner Stanlee, Austin Michael Martin, and Dakota Lane Jo Wright.  Honorary pallbearers are William Donald Golaz II and Gavin Nathaniel Wendt.

Will was born December 8, 1977, to William and Belinda (Hooper) Golaz in Fort Worth, Texas.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Belinda Faye Hooper.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his spouse, Jennifer Martin of Decatur; his son, William Donald Golaz II of Decatur; his step-son, Gavin Nathaniel Wendt of Decatur; his daughter, Destinee LaSchaele Jo Golaz of Cleburne; his daughter, Cassidee Cherie Standlee of Quitaque; his son, William Turner Standlee of Quitaque; his son Braxton Lee Carroll of Paradise; his son; his two daughters; his granddaughters, Novalee MaSchaele Nolan and Chevelle Elaina Nolan of Cleburne; his father, William Henry Golaz of Saginaw; his sisters, Cheyenne Sherri Golaz of Paradise, and Sheyleana Laura Golaz and husband Kevin of Fort Worth; his nephew, Wesley Thomas Brown of Paradise; his niece, Kaeli Sherri Martin and husband Derek of Boyd; his nephews, William Todd Weger of Paradise, and Carl Henry Finley of Paradise; extended family and a host of friends.
