William "Bill" Allen Parker

Chico ~ William “Bill” Allen Parker Jr., 66, the owner of Chico Mart went to be with our Lord Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in Chico.

Memorial service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 at Morris Memorial Methodist Church in Chico. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. Billie Fitch will officiate.

Bill was born on August 7, 1951 to William Allen and Alice Imogene (McClellan) Parker Jr. in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was united in marriage to Lan Sheri Borowiec on February 18, 2001 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Bill was a pillar of his community. He was a mentor and proud supporter of the youth and many organizations in Chico. He took Every opportunity to donate and make a difference. Bill was an inspiration, hero, and a phenomenal man. His love, support, and passion for his family and life was unparalleled. He was larger than life and loved beyond measure.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Parker Sr. and Bob and Jean Parker Kelsey; his sister, Linda Carter; and his brother, Weldon Kelsey.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Lan Parker of Chico; his daughter, Shanna Mowery and husband Jerrod of Bridgeport; his son, Michael Walker and wife Mae of Wichita Falls; his daughter, Jessica McDaniel and husband Josh of Chico; his grandchildren, Lauren, Nikki, Aden, Marcus, Maddy and Jaxson; his sister, Renee Berg and husband Chuck of Chico; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bill Parker Scholarship Fund at the First State Bank in Chico.
