William "Bill" Francis Hoerth

August 21, 1958 — June 3, 2022

William (Bill) Francis Hoerth was born August 21, 1958 in Milwaukee, WI.  Bill was called home Friday, June 3rd at the age of 63 in Kyle Tx. He was the son of the late Francis Jerome Hoerth and Hildegard Helen (Wehrmann) Hoerth and was one of 7 children. He attended Richardson High School and graduated in 1976. After graduation he lived in various towns throughout Texas and New Mexico. Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus at the Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur, Texas for numerous years. Bill cherished spending time with his Knights of Columbus friends. He always had many stories to share about the great cookouts done at the Church and the camaraderie with his friends. His strong faith helped him persevere during life’s obstacles.

Bill was the Green Bay Packers number one fan throughout his entire life.  It did not matter if they were a winning team or not. At Christmas time he was known for having the outside of his house highly decorated with the Packer’s name / logos / colors. He would enjoy hearing the cars and trucks honk their horns from the highway in approval of his Packer decorations.

Bill will be thoroughly missed by all who appreciated his sense of humor and good nature. All those that loved him knew that he was a hard worker and always willing to help others in need. He was self-employed for the past 20+ years and had built a successful business. The world has lost a great son, brother, husband, and father.

Bill is survived by his wife Debra Appling (Wall) Hoerth and former spouse of 35 years and mother of his children, Deborah Lynn (Shaw) Hoerth, Bill was an extremely proud father to his four children Travis Steele Hoerth; Jacqueline Michelle and husband Will Reynolds; Matthew Jerome Hoerth; Jessica Christine and husband Caysen Hill. Bill was selfless in his devotion to the happiness of his children and they were the delight of his life. Bill is also survived by his 6 siblings: Mary (Joe) Zwirlein, Sharon Hoerth (Frank Loncharic), Carol Scheer, Barbara (Ed) Fillpot, Jim (Sara) Hoerth; and Joe (Vicki) Hoerth and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial is planned for Saturday July 9th, 2022 from 10:30 to 11:30 am. The memorial will be at The Hawkins Funeral Home on 405 E Main Street Decatur TX. All are invited to attend, and a celebration of life lunch will follow at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur.  If you would like, a donation can be made in Memory of William F. Hoerth to the National Cancer Institute or charity of your choice.

Our love for him will always be there. We will continue to carry on the Hoerth family traditions and legacy for the next generation to carry them forward. His beautiful life will be forever cherished. He was a beautiful soul, and he will be missed terribly. We love you so much Bill and know that you're now in God's warm embrace.
