William Louis Southerland

Decatur ~ William Louis Southerland, 90, a retired flight engineer, went to be with our Lord Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2015, at Byrds Prairie Cemetery in Tupelo, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Paul Chambers, William Southerland, Thomas Southerland, Nick Payne, Ricky Pressley, and Michael Roan.
William was born on December 26, 1924 to Thomas and Mary (Doty) Southerland in Hugo, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Jane Guthrie in 1971 in Redlands, California until her passing in December, 1991. William served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jane Southerland; his son, Jimmie Southerland.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Dianne DoByns and fiancé Jimmy of Azle and Cathy Southerland and husband Michael of California; his daughter-in-law, Sally Southerland; his grandchildren, William and Thomas Southerland, Paul Chambers, Linda and Nicole Agcaoili, Melissa McDaniel, and Nick Payne; 11 great grandchildren; his sister, Nora Southerland; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
