Bridgeport -- William "Shorty" Pierce, 59, a retired truck driver went to be with our Lord on Monday, June 15, 2009 in Bridgeport.
Memorial Service: 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 24 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel.
William was born on October 31, 1949, the son of Boyce Mayon and Dorothy Katherine (Anderson) Pierce in Sunset. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW in Bowie.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his son, William, Pierce, Jr. of Bonham; daughters, Katherine Cook of Alvord, Gena Hurst and husband Rodney of Alvord, and Tiffany Spencer and husband David of Duncan, Oklahoma; and 10 grandchildren.
