William Lavell Lambert

Boyd ~ William Lavell Lambert, 80, a retired purchasing agent, went to be with our Lord Monday, December 24, 2018, in Decatur.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Boyd, with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Rev. Mark Autry will officiate. Pallbearers are Jim Lambert, Chuck Lambert, Tommy Lambert, David Lambert, Johnny Lambert, Robert Lambert, Tim Lambert, and Steve Lambert.

William was born on March 2, 1938, to Tom and Ida (Smith) Lambert in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Inez “Marie” Baccus on June 14, 1958, in Decatur. William retired from Cargill in Saginaw after 35 years of service.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Boyd.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, John, Gilbert, Paul, and T.H.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Inez “Marie” Lambert of Boyd; his son, Michael Lambert of Boyd; his daughter, Brenda Baird and husband Rusty of New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Candace Craig, Caleb Baird, Casey Baird, Chris Lambert, and Tony Lambert; his sister, Dorothy Gray of Newark; and a host of friends.
