William Warner Kurnes, Sr

Chico ~ William Warner Kurnes, Sr, 60, of Chico went to be with our Lord on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Chico.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Memory Gardens Cemetery of Amarillo.  Visitation 1-4 PM Monday at Hawkins in Bridgeport.

William was born January 31, 1961 to Paul David and Florence (Fries) Kurnes in Omaha, Nebraska. He worked for a transportation company and retired truck driver. William was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Paul David Kurnes and John Wiggins; 4 brothers, Jim Poling, Bobby Brady, Jerry Butler, and David Lee Kurnes; and 1 sister, Carolyn Kay Barlet.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are 3 sons, Chris Rosson and wife Melinda of Chico, William Warner Kurnes, Jr. and wife Destiny of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Stephen Kurnes of El Dorado, Kansas; 2 daughters, Rose Fuller and husband Preston of Post Oak, Texas and Jenny Swaim and Bryan of Chico; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Dennis Ray Kurnes of Chico; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
