BOYD -- William Earl Pierce III, 68, a mechanic for Darrin Automotive and Transmission, died on Saturday, January 19, 2008 in Decatur.
Graveside service: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander, Texas. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Christian-Haawkins Funeral Home.
Earl was born on April 3, 1939 in Bryan, Texas to William Elbert II and Ima (Rowan) Pierce. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Eagle Mountain International Church.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nellie Mae Draper and Evelyn McGee; and a granddaughter, Angela Pierce.
Left behind to cherish his memories are: sons, William Lee Pierce and wife Judy of Boyd, Calvin Pierce and wife Kim of Thrall, Texas; daughters, Yvonne Jackson, Lyn Lee, and Kay Vincent, all of Boyd; 10 grandchildren, Tommy, April, Zack, Will, Jon, Phillip, Cole, Heather, Darrell, and Ricky; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Billy Ray Pierce of Fort Worth; and sister, JoAnn Pierce of Bertram.
