Decatur - Wesley R. Greer, Sr., 75, of Decatur went to be with his Lord, Friday, November 11, 2016 in Decatur, Texas.
Memorial service is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday,November 15, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. Gerre Joiner will officiate.
Wesley was born March 27, 1941 to Willie Wesley and Elva Laverne (Steedly) Greer in Weatherford, Texas. He married Martha Turner on February 9, 1972 in Decatur, Texas. They were married 29 years till her passing in 2001.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Johnny Pippin and wife Tisa of Decatur, Tim Pippin and wife Laurie of Decatur, Jeremy Fabela of Decatur, Randy Greer and wife Angie of Alvord, and Robby Anderson and wife Christy of Bowie; 2 daughters, Edwina Hargrave and husband David of Decatur, and Pamela Fabela of Fort Worth; 18 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ricky Greer and Raymond Greer; 5 sisters, Mattie Sermons, Betty Greer, Beverly Jernigan, Jenny Mullane, and Deborah Greer; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers, Bobby, Donald, Pat, Thomas, and Jackie Greer.
