Weldon Cauthen

Decatur ~  Weldon Cauthen, 84, of Decatur died Saturday, March 10, 2018 at his home in Decatur.

Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Bethel Cemetery in Decatur, Texas. Van Gardner will be officiating.

Weldon was born May 7, 1933 in Platter, Oklahoma to Linn and Lillian (Cordell) Cauthen. He married Mildred Loyd on May 3, 1957 in Boyd, Texas. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a Navy Veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a Baptist and Worshipful Master of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge.

Weldon was preceded in death by his parents;  a brother, Wilburn Cauthen;  and sisters, Marquita Wells and Ceola Rickman.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years, Mildred Cauthen of Decatur; sons, Weldon Cauthen, Jr. and wife Tammi of Benbrook, and Wendell Cauthen of Decatur; grandchildren, Whitney Cauthen and Riley Cauthen of Benbrook; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
