Boyd ~ Wanda Earline Fortenberry, 76, a retired restaurant owner, Talk of the Town, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in Decatur.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Monday at Hilltop Family Church in Springtown with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Rev. Darrel Mathis will officiate. Pallbearers include Zack Selby, Cole Jackson, Will Pierce, Tommy Ellis, Phillip Pierce, Rustyn Ellis, Billy Jon Jackson, and Logan Ellis. Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Jackson and Andrew Anderson.
Wanda was born on October 19, 1943 to Jessie and Sarah (Wimberly) Cahill in Breckenridge, Texas. She was united in marriage to Ansel Fortenberry in December 19, 1980. Wanda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ansel Fortenberry on April - 1999.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Yvonne Jackson, Lyn Pierce, and Kay Pierce all of Boyd; son, Lee Pierce and wife Judy of Boyd; 7 grandchildren, Zack Selby, Phillip Pierce, Tommy Ellis and wife Jennifer, Will Pierce and wife Crystal, Billy Jon Jackson and wife Hannah, Cole Jackson, and April Anderson and husband Andrew; 14 great-grandchildren, Cash, Logan, Rustyn, Payton, Camdyn, Dawson, Zayden, Jett, Hailey, Jaxon, Felicity, Rylan, Shelby, and Jackson; 2 brothers, Howard Cahill and wife Gladys of Alvord, and Bobby Cahill and wife Janice of Hockley; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
