Virginia Lee (Adams) Fussell

Boyd ~ Virginia Lee Fussell, 87, a secretary, went to be with our Lord Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Mansfield.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Chaplain Chris Benavente will officiate and Hayden Purdue will speak. Pallbearers include Bill Allen, Jay Bryan Fussell, Scott Joplin, Hayden Purdue, Mark Reeves, and Scott Sprayberry.
Virginia was born on August 9, 1927 to Henry and Gertrude (Dodd) Adams in Corsicana. She was united in marriage to J.B. Fussell on July 18, 1946 in Lufkin. He preceded her in death in 2013. Virginia was a secretary for Packaging Inc. She was a Baptist and a member of the Eastern Star and Rebekah’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Bruce Fussell of Boyd; her grandchildren, Jay Bryan Fussell and wife Mallorie of Fort Worth and Sherry Purdue and husband Hayden of Mansfield; her great grandchildren, Avery and Chase Purdue; other family members and a host of friends.
