Virginia Foreman

Virginia Ruth Foreman, 87, went to be with our Lord Friday, May 22, 2020, in Decatur.

Virginia was born May 28, 1932 to Dud and Mabel Smith in Bridgeport. She graduated from Peaster High School in 1949.  She was united in marriage to William David Foreman on December 24, 1952 in Lubbock.

Bill and Virginia were a military family and spent several years in Turkey before his retirement and move to Alvord in 1971.   Virginia found joy in every day and lived her life in service to the Lord, her family and those in need.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Alvord.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents; and her brothers: Jack Smith, Carrol Smith, Bill Smith, and Tommy Smith.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sharon Driskill and her husband, Weck; and Vicki King and her husband Mike of Alvord; Debbie Hess and her husband Alan of Corinth; and son,  Larry Foreman and wife Bonnie of Alvord.  Her brothers Ray Lee Smith of Decatur, Fred Smith of Ft Worth and Preston Smith of Denton; sisters, Pat Griffith of Frisco, and Peggy King of Ft Worth.  Nine grandchildren, 15 Great-grandchildren, and 1 Great-great grandchild.
