Virginia Lee Erwin

Virginia Lee Higgins-Erwin, Housewife, mother and grandmother. Went to be with our Lord and Savior August 21, 2026. 

Graveside service will be Monday August 24, 2026 at the Paradise Cemetery with Ren Young Officiating. 

Pallbearers include Jimmy Gentry, Bryson Gentry, Kyle Erwin, Don Erwin, Wesley Moss, and Sonny Higgins. 

Virginia, known to her family and friends as Ginger, known to her siblings as Genny was born on October 27, 1936 in Cleburne Texas to Virgil William Higgins and Charlotte Montgomery Higgins. She was united in marriage on February 5, 1958 to Samie Calvin Erwin in Cleburne Texas. She was a member of the Cottondale Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook and a great seamstress. 

She is preceded in death by her parents. Two sons, Calvin Wayne Erwin and Larry Ronald Erwin. Three brothers, Rex Higgins, Kenneth Higgins and Larry Higgins. 

Those left behind are: Her Daughter, Gail Gentry and husband Jimmy, Her son, Don Erwin and wife Sandy. Her grandchildren, Bryson Gentry and wife Heather, Raylee Moss and husband Wesley, Kyle Erwin and wife Lindsey, Josh Erwin and wife Monique, Brandi Richardson and husband Brandon. Great grandchildren, Karis and Teegan Moss, McCoy and Hattie Gentry, Blakely, Calvin and Blair Erwin, Tristian Erwin and Kori Richardson. Sisters, Marji Miles and Cherril Taplehay. Her brothers, Sonny Higgins and Roy Higgins. Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
