JUSTIN--Virgil "Shorty" Hendricks, 79, a truck driver, died Saturday, November 5, 2005 in Decatur. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd. Burial: New Fairview Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Mary Alice (Chandler) Hendricks, his two sisters: Beatrice Mitchell and Betty Lou Simmons, and his two brothers: Preston and Tim Hendricks. Survivors: his two daughters: Alice Stone of Boyd, Leona Jernigan and husband Wayne of Justin; one Son: Roy Hendricks of Justin; 6 Grandchildren; Ruby Galindo, Billy Alexander, Virgil Dale Stone, Daniel Alexander, Johnny Alexander, Jody Alexander; 17 Great Grandchildren; two Brothers: Sherman Dean Hendricks, Donald Ray Hendricks; two Sisters: Doris Thome and Barbara Jean. Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and a host of friends. Pallbears: Billy Alexander, Daniel Alexander, Virgil Dale Stone, Johnny Alexander, Jody Alexander, and Nico Galindo.
