Victoria Joy Smith

Victoria Joy Smith, 76, passed from this earth Saturday, August 15, 2026 in Denton, Texas.

Memorial Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. Doug Acklie will officiate.

Victoria was born July 6, 1950 to Lillian Christeen Joy Gray in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was a retired dietary cook after many years with Wise Health Systems. Victoria was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Corneilus Wright and Christeen Wright; and a brother, Walter Stephenson.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her son, Gerald Wright and wife Sherry of Decatur; 3 granddaughters, Autumn Jackson & husband Brandon of Decatur, Alexis Wright & fiancé Alexander of Denton, and Jessie Wright of Decatur; 3 great grandchildren, Broylyn, Hendrix, and Atlas; extended family and a host of friends.
