Vesta Fern Parson

Alvord ~ Vesta Fern Parson, 81, a retired sales purchasing agent for Markle Steel Company, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, February 14, 2015 in Decatur, Texas.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, at Zion Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Alvord with burial in Alvord Cemetery. Bill Cleveland and Barney Hudson will be officiating. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Vesta was born January 6, 1934 to Charles Edward and Gertrude Elizabeth (Cole) Parson in Gilmer, Texas. She was raised by her uncle and aunt, Bill and Etta McMath. She was also a long time member of Zion Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Alvord.
Left behind to cherish her memory is a sister, Lois Ann Bell of Beline, New Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Etta McMath, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.
