Verma Joyce (Mcdonald) Long

Decatur ~ Verma Joyce Long, 76, went to be with our Lord Sunday, November 29, 2020 in Bowie, Texas.

Verma was born December 6, 1943 to Thomas Harvey and Rose Irene McDonald in Hillsboro, Texas. She was united in marriage in 1986 to Bob Long in Divine, Texas. Verma was a retired store manager.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Long; her son, Jeffery Lawrence Talbott; her sisters, Marjorie Elaine Horne, Melba Dean Perkins, Nelta Irene Brock, and Norma Louise Preston; and her brothers, Thomas Eugene McDonald, Russell Lowell McDonald, and Jerry Don McDonald.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sandra Bell and Rose Townsley of San Antonio; her son, Wesley Rhodes of Pennsylvania; her 10 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren; her 3 sisters, Sherry Dickenson of Decatur, Carolyn Blye of Alvord, and Wanda Sandlin  of Arkansas; and her 2 brothers, Terry McDonald and Larry McDonald; extended family and a host of friends.
