Vera Marlett

Funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, November 4th at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Bro. Sam Starr will officiate. Pallbearers include Bob Odell, Jason Marlett, James Marlett, David O'Dell, Kerry Marlett and Mike Hartsell.

Vera was born on January 8, 1918 to James and Mary (McKinney) Odell in Park Springs, Texas. She was a retired medication aid at Sunny Hills Nursing Home and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport.

Vera is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Franklin Marlett; her son, Ralph Marlett; her daughter, Mary Lee Marlett; her daughter in law, Billy Marlett; her grandson, Curtis Marlett, Jr.; her brothers, Will, Lon, Bush and Pat Odell; her sisters, Opal Boswell, May Early and Ruby Odell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Darrell Marlett and wife Jean of Sunset, Larry Marlett of Bridgeport, Ronald Marlett and wife Sherry of Chico; her grandchildren, Kerry, Michelle, Brenda, Jason, James and Jeremy; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; other family members and a host of friends.
