Udella (Scales) Tucker

Bridgeport  ~ Udella Scales Tucker, 84, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Chaplain Phillip Weitner will officiate. Pallbearers include Jeremy Foley, Ethan Foley, Dusty Tucker, Travis Gould, Roger Scales, and Larry Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are John Burt Scales, Brian Thompson, John Charles Thompson, and Norman Sheardown.

Udella was born on April 18, 1930 to Ewen David and Clare Ellen (Payton) Scales in Electra, Texas. She was united in marriage to Donald Eugene “Bud” Tucker on June 5, 1955 in Electra. Bud preceded her in death February 4, 2002. Udella was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Olney.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, D.E. “Bud” Tucker; her grandson, Don Tucker; her great grandson, Jackson Foley; her siblings, Opal Egenbacher, Frances Thompson, Johnny Scales, E.D. Scales, Homer Scales, and Bert Scales.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Damon Tucker and wife Sharron of Bridgeport; her daughters, Debra Jones and husband Gene of Alvord, Donna Foley of Bridgeport, Darla Sheardown and husband Norman of Chico; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous other family members and a host of friends.
