Decatur ~ Tommie Sue Maxey, 77, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Hawkins funeral home.
Rev. Don Spain and Dr. Cecil Maxey will officiate.
Tommie was born on September 20, 1937 to Tom and Opal (McClellan) Colston in Fort Worth, Texas. She was united in marriage to Jackie Maxey on May 28, 1954 in Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Jackie Maxey of Decatur; her sons, Michael Maxey and wife Libia of Mexico, Ricky Maxey of Decatur, and Mark Maxey of Decatur; her daughter, Kathi Maxey of Fort Worth; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
