Alvord: Thomas Lee Phillips, 57, went to be with our Lord Thursday, September 30, 2011 in Alvord, Texas.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 4th at the First Baptist Church of Alvord with Brothers Darren Embree and Bill Cleveland officiating. Interment: Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Thomas was born June 10, 1954 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Richard Kersey and Mary Jane (Schmid) Phillips. He married Donna Blanche McMann on December 28, 1985 in Bedford, Texas. Thomas was employed by Anchor Fabrication in Saginaw, Texas in the quality assurance department. He was a member of the Crossroads Church in Decatur.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Donna Phillips of Alvord; four sons, Lee Phillips of Denton; Evan Thomas Phillips and wife, Heather, Ft. Drum, New York, John Luke Phillips of Denton; Mitchell Isaac Phillips of Alvord; mother, Mary Jane Phillips of Bedford; three brothers, Richard Phillips of Bedford, Robert Phillips of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Paul Phillips of Palm Desert, California; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Family requests memorials be made to the Thomas Phillips Memorial Fund in care of Legend Bank in Alvord, Texas.
