Thomas Ray Nutt

Decatur ~ Thomas Ray Nutt, 72, direct communication sales, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, January 23, 2019, in Decatur.

Thomas was born on October 30, 1946, to Thomas and Minnie (Evans) Nutt in Fort Worth, Texas. He was united in marriage to Sherri Wealch on May 19, 1967, in Haltom City, Texas. Thomas retired from Motorola as a radio communication salesman. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and received National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Korea Vietnam Service Medal, One Bronze Star, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Lonnie Nutt.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Sherri of Decatur; his sons, Tod Nutt and Chad Nutt; his granddaughters, Kimberlee and Ashlee Nutt; his brother, Johnny Nutt and wife Debbie; his sisters, Dolores Moore, Glenna Pietzsch and husband Ron; his daughter in law, Brenda Slade and her son, Josh Slade; his sister in law, Rae Madia and her daughter Tara; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
