Leon Coleman of Aurora, Tx passed away at his home on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the age of 91. Leon was born October 4, 1934, in Delhi, Oklahoma to Lillian and Jesse Coleman. He attended school in Delhi, Oklahoma, and then Boyd, Tx graduating in 1952. On March 11, 1955, he married the love of his life, Delores Thornton. To this union, they had 3 daughters, Sharon Coleman, Tricia Stogsdill & Paula Doyal. Later in life, they adopted Jamie Meadows, and Jessieca Linahan. Leon and Delores enjoyed 71 years of marriage. Leon was cherished by his family and many friends.

Leon is survived by his wife Delores, Daughters Sharon Coleman, Tricia Stogsdill and husband Brian, Grandchildren: Jamie Meadows and husband Michael, Jessieca Linahan and husband Ben, Isaac Doyal and wife Nichole, Chad Miller and wife Heather, Tyler Percival and wife Danielle, and Kelsey Stogsdill. Great grandchildren Aaron Schwarz, Micah Solomon and boyfriend Kyle Van Dyne, Kyle Solomon and wife Jillian, Dixi Percival, Abigail Childers, Kenley Linahan, Blaine Linahan, Jaxon Linahan, Addison Doyal, Kara Doyal, Maddux Doyal, Hailey Shockley and husband Ian, Christian Miller, Hannah Miller, Jaycie Meadows, Jayden Meadows, Cody Meadows, Kimber McCormick, Raylea Brooks Great-Great grandchildren Zachary Briones, Alaina Solomon, Valentine Shockley, Haizly Meadows. Sister Alice Wolf, Sister-in-Law Juanita Coleman, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cherished pets Bill and Peanut.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Jesse Coleman, brother J.L. Coleman, sisters Wilma Jean Rutherford and Willine Clevenger, Daughter Paula Doyal, Great grandson Tyee Percival.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, April 30, from 6-8 pm at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd, TX, and a funeral on Friday, May 1, at 2:00 pm at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd, Texas, burial at Aurora Cemetery.

Pallbearers Norman Wolf, Darrell Wolf, Ruben Lechuga, Ronnie Smith, Tim Oats, and Adrian Cruz.

Honorary Pallbearers are all of his grandsons and great-grandsons
