Decatur ~ Thomas Jennings Brown, 87, a retired engineer, went to be with our Lord Sunday, October 8, 2017 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the Church.
Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate.
Thomas was born on May 22, 1930 to Jennings Crisp and Agnes (Duffey) Brown in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Linda Louise Stutt in 1980 in Decatur. Thomas retired from Texas Hwy Department as an engineer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur. Thomas served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Tony Brown of Fort Worth; his Daughter, Shelby Ivy and husband Rick of Ponder; his stepdaughter, Stephanie Martinez of Decatur; his grandchildren, Christopher and Austin Brown; his step grandchild, Zachary Martinez of Krum; his brother, Claude Duffey Brown of Fort Worth; his brother in law, James Stutt of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
