Thomas W. Bishop

Thomas W. Bishop, 76, passed from this earth Saturday, June 20th, 2026 in Mansfield, Texas.

Memorial Service is 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27th at Community Church in Decatur, Texas.

Thomas was born October 22nd, 1949 to Joe and Neal (Parten) Bishop in Angel Camp, California. He was united in marriage February 13th, 2004 to Carol Merritt in Decatur, Texas. Thomas worked for Tx Dot for many years as a supervisor. He was a beloved husband, father, step father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Neal Bishop; his siblings, Troy, Doris, Janis, Joe and Charles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol Bishop of Decatur; his brother, Sonny Bishop; his children, Misty Stevenson and husband Bryan, Wade Bishop, JB Bishop, step-daughters, Mitzi Hinson and husband Michael, Kerry Dunham and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Angela, Jordon, Austin, Victoria, Bella, Kyle, Koby, Krista, Kathleen, Joel and Joshua; his great-grandchildren, Sofia, Ollie, Kinsley, Sadie, Lucas, Nehemiah, and Millie; extended family and a host of friends.
