Gainesville: Thelma Novella Cottrell, 81, a retired caregiver, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2009 in Gainesville.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Thelma was born on November 1, 1927 in Montgomery, Tennessee to Luther and Lois Myrtle (Pierce) Richardson. She married Elwood Henry Cottrell in 1961.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Barbara Jean Cavanough of Decatur; two sons, James William Talk and wife Velma of Sequin, Billy Joe Burgess, II and wife, Barbara of McQueeny; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; aunt, Lilly Mae Silva of Summerset, Texas.
