RHOME -- Thaya Faye "Hill" Joyner, 86, a homemaker, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at home. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Hill Top Assembly of God. Burial: Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Christian-Hawkins Chapel.
Thaya was born to Tom and Edith Munn Hunter in Whitt, Okla. She married the Rev. Paul Joyner in Azle on July 17, 1989. She was a member of Northside Assembly of God in Fort Worth and the Southwestern Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Vernon Hill; and sisters, Wilma McClendon amd Tommie Collins.
Survivors: Husband, the Rev. Paul Joyner of Rhome; son, Troy Hill and wife, Treva of Boyd; granddaughters, Amy and Kate Hill of Boyd; stepdaughters, Wanda Davis of Austin, Texas, Carolyn Simmons and husband, Jerry ofof Scroggins, Texas, Beth Cothran and husband, David of waxahachie, and Judy Craft and husband, Daniel of Winnsboro, Texas; 14 stepgrandchildren; and 20 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Phill Horn, Kyle Collins, Dwayne Hill, Daniel Craft, Jerry Simmons, and David Cothran. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Clamon and Wilhelm Cothran.
