Terry Glen Van Huss

Chico~ Terry Glen Van Huss, 73, went to be with our Lord on Friday, January 7, 2022 in Chico.

Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 5:30-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Terry was born on October 15, 1948 to Virgil Glen and Rayalene “Pat” Van Huss in Pampa, Texas. He was a veteran and proudly served our country in the United States Army. Terry worked in construction and owned and operated T/C Fishing Guide Service for many years on Lake Bridgeport. He married Claudia Lewis on June 11, 2001 in Decatur, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Cathy Williams.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Claudia Lewis of Chico; his step-daughter, De Anna Barfield of Chico; his daughter, Tara Compton and husband Nick of Wichita Falls; his step-son, Craig David and wife Lisa of North Dakota; his grandchildren, Dalton Barfield and wife Shelby, Morgan Barfield, Maverick Barfield, Kinleigh David, Kambri David, and Kaitey David; his great-grandchild, McKenna Barfield; his brother, Rody Van Huss and wife Mitzi of Tuttle, Oklahoma; his sister, Vickie Hawhee and husband Donald of Wichita Falls; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
