Decatur: Ted Steven Qualls, 62, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Denton.
Family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Galesburg, Illinois.
Ted was born July 7, 1950 in Galesburg, Illinois to Ted Rodney and Dorothy (Carrel) Qualls. He was united in marriage to Janice Jackson on October 2, 1976. Ted a clerk for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for over 30 years. He was an avid pilot and fisherman.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Janice Qualls of Decatur; daughter, Stacy Peterson and husband Jessie of Aubrey; son, Ted Richard Qualls of Lexington, Kentucky; two grandchildren, London and Boston Peterson; sister, Kathy Qualls of Galesburg, Illinois; brother, Richard Qualls of California; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
