Tamra Waterman

Tamra Waterman, 66, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2026.

Tamra was born on August 23, 1960, to John Cantrell Hayes and Shirley Young (Hayes) in Decatur, Texas. She was united in marriage August 11, 1990, to Kirk Waterman in Decatur, Texas. Tamra was a woman whose life experienced reflected many different seasons. She was a graduate of the University of North Texas, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources. Tamra devoted much of her life to being a homemaker and caring for her home and family. Her faith was also an important part of her life. Her life journey included both joys and challenges, each representing a part of the story that made her life uniquely her own. Tamra will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sidney and Era Hayes and John and Effie Young.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kirk Waterman of Alvord; her daughter, Magen McCleskey and her husband Alex; her son, Marshall Hayes; her granddaughter, Elizabeth McCleskey; her brother, Biff Hayes; and her sister, Cindy Cox and husband Norbert; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
