Sylvia Odessa Lee

Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pleasant Grove #3 Cemetery in Chico. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Rev. Chris Hayes will officiate. Pallbearers include Donny Tull, Kevin Spivey, Jason Aubel, Joshua Tull, Scott Forehand, and Nick Lee.

Sylvia, known as "Brownie" was born February 23, 1933 in Bridgeport to Thomas and Ada (Denny) Lumsden. At age 18 she married Air Force 2nd Lt. Donald Lee, with whom she enjoyed 60 years. A fashion model and entrepreneur, Sylvia founded several successful businesses in Fort Worth including a modeling agency and retail beauty supply before joining the financial world where she became the second female licensed stock broker in the State of Texas and later headed her own brokerage firm.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Don Lee; 5 siblings; Truis Lumsden, Emogene George, Martha Western, Lum Lumsden, Geneva North; and her beloved dog, Sassye. Those left behind to cherish his memory are her son, Stephen Lee and wife Jeannine; her daughter, Sheri Tull and husband Donny; her grandchildren, Donny Tull III and wife Michelle, Stefanie Spivey and husband Kevin, Hollie Barris, Christie Aubel and husband Jason, Megan Hoover and husband Joey, Nick Lee, Joshua Tull, Amie Forehand and husband Scott; her great grandchildren, Donny Tull IV, Alaina Spivey, Ashley Tull, Darren Tull; a wealth of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
