Suzanne (Rawlings) Padgett

Suzanne Rawlings Padgett, 76, passed away at her home in Azle, Texas August 21, 2023.

Graveside Memorial is 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2023 at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Suzanne was born April 19, 1947 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Udell R. and Bonnie (Cook) Rawlings. She graduated from Mascoutah High School in Mascoutah, Illinois. Suzanne attended Texas Tech University and graduated North Texas State University. She worked in the insurance industry in Dallas and then returned to Decatur to work for CPS. Suzanne was united in marriage April 19, 1980 to Col. O.M. Padgett, they resided in Azle. She was a beloved  step-mother, step-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Udell and Bonnie Rawlings; her husband Col. O.M. Padgett in March of 1995; and O.M.’s daughter, Donna Lively.

Those left to cherish her memory are her step-children, Dana LaChance, Diana Padgett and husband Kang Lee, Peter Padgett and wife Chris; her step-grandchildren, Tabitha Smith, Sarah Williams, Olivia Lee, Miranda Lee, Jenea McPhearson, Clayton Padgett, Heather Padgett and Brittany Padgett; her sister, Marilyn Blagg and husband Gene; a niece, Lisa Dodson; nephew, Dahlem Dodson and wife Amy and their children, Melissa, Meredith and Davis Dodson; extended family members and a host of friends.
