Newark - Steven Johnston, 63 went to be with our Lord Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM Saturday May 18, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.

Officiant is Fred Raney.

Steven was born April 21, 1961 in Fort Worth, Texas to Everett and Katherine (Gargas) Johnston. On August 20, 1983 he married the love of his life Angela DeLano in Newark. Steven graduated from North West High School and he worked for CMJ Engineering as a construction material technician. He was a very loving son, husband, father, brother and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and Everett Johnston; and sister, June Crownover.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Angela Johnston; son, Joseph Johnston and wife Sara of Seattle Washington; daughter, Amanda Johnston and husband Keegan of Haslet; grandson Elijah and granddaughter Abigail; brother, Don Johnston and wife Ruby of Azle. Numerous nephews and nieces as well as cousins and a host of friends.
