A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, at Decatur First Baptist Church.
Born on April 24, 2009, in Orlando, Florida, to Jacob Adam and Kristi Dee (Jackson) Christensen, Sophia was a vibrant and dedicated member of the Decatur community. Her academic excellence was evident through numerous accomplishments, including being named the 8th Grade Soaring Eagle Student of the Year, a member of both the National Spanish Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society, and ranking in the top ten of her high school class.
Sophia’s drive and perseverance also shone through in athletics. She was a proud member of the Decatur High School Varsity Cross Country and Track teams, where her determination inspired many.

Above all, Sophia was deeply devoted to her faith. As a member of Decatur First Baptist Church, she touched countless lives through her participation in the First Baptist Youth Ministry and Turning Point USA. She was eagerly anticipating an upcoming mission trip to Paraguay—another opportunity to share her love for Christ with the world.
Sophia’s radiant smile, kind spirit, and positive attitude will be missed beyond measure.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Sandra and Dan Jackson; her aunts, Kelly (Jackson) Drennan and Angela (Christensen) Flores; and her brother, Nolan Christensen.
