Shirley Ann Cordero

Bridgeport ~ Shirley Ann Cordero, 82, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Bridgeport.

Funeral Service is 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 12th, at Father’s House Church in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.

Shirley was born on September 1st, 1943, to Finnis and Mary Kennedy in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Shirley graduated from Southwestern Bible College in 1962. She was united in marriage to Robert Douglas in 1963; they were together for 21 years before his passing in 1984. They had two children, David and Deborah. Shirley was united in marriage to Edward Cordero in 1988 in Decatur, TX. Shirley was a cherished member of the Father's House Church in Decatur, where she found community and support throughout her life. After many dedicated years of service, she retired from her role as an office administrator. Shirley was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Finnis and Mary Kennedy; her first husband, Robert Douglas; and her second husband, Edward Cordero.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Dave Douglas and his wife, Shaun of Yanceyville, North Carolina, and Deborah Story and her husband, Rayford of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Rio and Seth Douglas, Holly, Taylor, Grace and Shelby Story; her great-grandchildren, Isacc, Elli, Emmah, Bailey, Echo, Tendell, and Lenox; and a host of friends.
