Sheril Latayn Tomson

Sheril Latayn Tomson, 68, of Decatur, a bright light and a compassionate soul, has gone home to be with the Lord.

She was born on January 15th, 1958 to Nelda Parrent, Sheril lived her life with a profound sense of gratitude, often reminding those around her just how happy she was to be alive.

Sheril possessed a deeply generous heart. She was a natural helper, always looking for opportunities to lend a hand, lift someone’s spirits, or contribute to her friends and family as she could. Her kindness and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is reunited in death with her beloved mother, Nelda Parrent; her grandmother, Eula Lambert; her aunt & uncle, Charles and Quita Martin; her best friend, Blake; and her loving faithful fur baby, Lady Bird.

Sheril’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by her surviving family, including her sister, Dana Englehart, and her husband Jim; her brother, Russell Tomson; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Private memorial will be held at a later date.
